Join us for extended hours at the Museum on the First Friday of every month! Admission is free from 5:00 PM–7:00 PM

Meet us on the Museum Patio where Tumbleroot Pottery Pub will host O’Keeffe-inspired sculpture making. One-pound blocks of air-dry clay will be available for the first 75 First Friday visitors to create their own masterpiece. Spotlight tours of O’Keeffe’s pottery-making tools and sculpture casts on display in the exhibition Georgia O’Keeffe: Making a Life will also be free for First Friday visitors.

This work appears to be an abstraction using a piece of bone. The bone is pierced by several holes. Two large holes fill the center of the work. The upper opening is divided into two sections. The top section has been filled with white chalk, while the bottom section has been shaded with dark charcoal. The lower large hole has been completely shaded with dark charcoal.

A canvas featuring a collection of colorful mountain wildflowers set a against a golden light brown background.
