Visiting the Museum During Balloon Fiesta

This October marks the 52nd International Balloon Fiesta! The week of Balloon Fiesta is a high-volume time for the O’Keeffe Museum. Advanced tickets are strongly recommended.

If you would prefer to visit during a lower volume time and there is flexibility in your itinerary, we encourage you to visit the Museum once Balloon Fiesta has concluded. Tickets are available 60 days in advance.

Prepare For Your Visit

If you are planning on visiting the week of Balloon Fiesta, here’s how to prepare:

With advance tickets, your reservation ensures your entrance to the Museum at your selected time.
Check in with a member of our Visitor Services team upon arrival and become familiar with our intimate Gallery set-up.

Bring What You Need to Enjoy Your Visit! 

Bring earbuds to enjoy the free audio tour app that can be downloaded to your smart phone before arrival. Our staff will be able to assist with any questions and support. 
Bring only a purse or a small bag. Large bags, backpacks, or luggage will not be allowed in the Galleries. Our coatroom is open to store jackets and other items.
Non-flash photography is welcome in most areas. Please keep tripods and drones at home.

Parking

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum does not have on-site public parking. City of Santa Fe parking garages can be found nearby and metered parking is also available throughout downtown Santa Fe.

What to Expect

While the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is modest in size, you’ll see more works by Georgia O’Keeffe than at any other institution. The Museum comprises intentionally curated Galleries to guide visitors through the inspiring and bold world of Georgia O’Keeffe. Our goal is to share the artist’s prolific life and career in addition to special exhibitions that change throughout the year with visitors from around the world.  Average viewing time is 60 minutes.
