Thank you for your interest in our volunteer programs. Unfortunately, due to the ever evolving situation with COVID-19 we have decided to suspend all of our volunteer programs and we are not currently accepting applications. Our museum operations remain limited in compliance with state health orders. As an organization, we abide by these restrictions and are committed to keeping our staff and visitors safe, and helping to control the spread of the virus. We appreciate your time and patience as we navigate this sensitive and fluid situation.
The Museum relies on the skills, knowledge and special talents of our volunteers to assist in a variety of areas and activities. As a volunteer, you may work with educational or public programs, interact with visitors from across the country and around the world, assist with research or conservation efforts, or lend a hand to any number of special project and events. Our volunteers are valued partners in achieving our Mission—we couldn’t do it without you!
Doing What You Like to Do
Our volunteers perform an amazing variety of support activities, ranging from working on special events to deploying computer expertise to talking with our members and donors—and there’s much more! Volunteer opportunities vary across the Museum, depending on the needs of our departments and our visitors, and the interests of the volunteer.
