The culminating event of the Fall of 2025’s Mobile Artist in Residence

Join us in celebrating A Powerful Place, a community art project led by the Museum’s Mobile Artist in Residence, Kieran Sequoia, throughout the fall of 2025. Enjoy light refreshments and learn more about the project with a special presentation by Kieran Sequoia.

A Powerful Place invited participants across Santa Fe/O’ga P’ogeh Owingeh and surrounding areas to create 9×9-inch textile squares as part of a larger piece. Each square was inspired by the landscapes, weather, and personal symbolism to tell the visual story of the place that made participants feel most powerful. Alongside their visual representation, participants had the opportunity to record a three-minute audio story of their most powerful place.
