Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Art & Leadership Program Now Accepting Applications
The Program has Opened Enrollment to Rising Sixth Grade Students in Santa Fe and Surrounding Areas
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE–MARCH 14, 2023 (Santa Fe, NM)– The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is pleased to announce applications the O’Keeffe Art & Leadership Program are open to all rising sixth grade students in Santa Fe and its surrounding communities. Students at private, charter, and BIE schools, as well as homeschooled children, from across Northern New Mexico are encouraged to apply for the
summer program.
Now in its 25th year, the O’Keeffe Art & Leadership Program is free for participants, who are also provided daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Students attend a two-week session Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM, with a celebratory Art Show held in the first week of August.
“We are thrilled to expand access to the Art & Leadership Program to the Northern New Mexico area,” said Grace Almanza, School and Tour Programs Manager for the Museum, as previously, attendees were nominated by teachers and educators in Santa Fe. “Summers at the Museum buzz with excitement from the students creating and exploring their imaginations in the different spaces on campus. We are excited for students from across our community to join us.”

Applications are now available on the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum website for rising sixth-graders to complete. The deadline for applications is May 1. Questions about the Art & Leadership program can be sent to ALinfo@gokm.org.
