Family Fun Day: All About Style!

  • Sunday, August 13
  • 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM MT
  • Santa Fe, NM

Join us to celebrate expression through personal style!

What does it mean to have personal style? “Style” is the specific way a person expresses themselves – it can be applied to clothing, writing, and even art! Personal style does not always mean following popular trends. Instead, it can be about staying true to yourself and what you like!  Georgia O’Keeffe incorporated her personal style not just in her paintings, but also in the clothes she wore and in the way she decorated her home. Join us on the second Sunday in August to explore your own personal style!  Through a variety of hands-on artmaking, creative activities, and story time, families can share with each other the colors, shapes, and designs they feel directly connects to who they are and how they present themselves to the world around them. Families can also enjoy a look into Georgia O’Keeffe’s own personal style through free admission into our newest exhibition, Georgia O’Keeffe: Making A Life!

Family Fun Day is a free event for all who attend. Participating families will receive a pass for free admission into the Museum! Please visit us first in the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Education Annex (located at 123 Grant Ave) when you arrive to receive your day pass, campus map, and schedule of activities for the day.

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is proud to introduce Family Fun Day! Occurring on the second Sunday of every month, this event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking and storytelling, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art. Family Fun Day is offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.
