In this class, experience the unique versatility of watercolor pencils. Through hands-on projects, demos, and instructions, teaching artist Sudeshna Sengupta will guide participants through the process of using watercolor pencils as a stand-alone medium for color sketching as well as a tool for adding details, texture, and contrast to accentuate definition in watercolor paintings.

Inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings of natural objects and botanical forms, these subjects will be the focus of the in-class projects.

This class is suitable for youth ages 12 and up. Children are welcome to participate alongside their adults.

This class will meet at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum’s Creativity Studio, located on the corner of Marcy Street and Grant Avenue, Santa Fe, NM. Registrants will be notified 24 hours in advance if the lesson is to be canceled.
