In-Person Class in Abiquiú | Fused Glass Mobile

Georgia O’Keeffe was inspired by the natural items she collected. Learn how to design and prepare glass pieces to hang from a piece of driftwood, and create your own decorative art piece. Participants will select from a variety of driftwood branches that can be found in the New Mexico landscape.

This class is suitable for youth ages 12 and up.

Registrants will be notified 24 hours in advance if the lesson is to be canceled. The pieces created in this class will need to undergo firing by the instructor after the workshop. They will be ready for pick-up at the Welcome Center after 4 weeks. Shipping finished pieces is also an option for out-of-town participants.

About the Instructor:

Amber Paz-Csibi is a local art educator with over 15 years of teaching experience in New Mexico. She has a master’s degree and studied art, science and education at the University of Texas in San Antonio, and New Mexico Highlands University. She truly enjoys teaching and is inspired by her students’ creative process. Amber is also a member of the New Mexico Potters and Clay Artists organization. As an artist, she creates art using a variety of media. She especially loves working with clay and fused glass. Her art process embraces form and function ranging from functional pottery to fused glass jewelry.
