In-Person Class: Ceramic Serving Dish Workshop

  • Saturday, December 7
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM MT
  • O'KEEFFE MUSEUM CREATIVITY STUDIO | CORNER OF W MARCY ST AND SHERIDAN ST, SANTA FE, NM

Space is limited, registration required. Please email contact@gokm.org or call 505-946-1000 for assistance with event registration. All supplies included.

Georgia O’Keeffe carefully decorated her home and studio, blending art and design to turn her space into an artist’s sanctuary.

Inspired by the thought of bringing special objects in our homes, enjoy a cozy evening of creating ceramic platters and serving dishes for special gatherings.

In this workshop, participants will learn about hand-building techniques, applying textures, and blending warm underglaze colors. By the end of the class, each participant will have created and decorated up to three ceramic tableware pieces. The ceramic artworks will be ready to pick up in two weeks after Amber has dried and fired them.

NOTE: The pieces created in this class will need to dry and undergo firing by Amber after the workshop. They will be ready for pick-up at the Museum after two weeks. Shipping finished pieces is also an option for out-of-town participants.

This class is suitable for youth ages 12 and up. Children are welcome to participate alongside their adults.

Space is limited, reservations required. Please email contact@gokm.org or call 505.946.1000 for assistance with event registration.

This class will meet at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum’s Creativity Studio, which is located on the corner of W Marcy Street and Sheridan Street (Santa Fe, NM). Registrants will be notified 24 hours in advance if the lesson is to be canceled.
