The New Mexico Museum of Art hosts a presentation by Cristina Kahlo, the acclaimed Mexican contemporary photographer. Kahlo will present a body of work that is a visual conversation through the intimate living and studio spaces of artists Georgia O’Keeffe and Frida Kahlo. This project was born in 2022, when Cristina was invited to photograph her great-aunt Frida’s home studio in commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the Casa Azul Museum. In 2023, Cristina traveled to Santa Fe and photographed O’Keeffe’s Ghost Ranch and Abiquiú homes.

“It was an immense privilege to enter the intimacy of Georgia and Frida’s personal habitats and beloved objects.” says Cristina.  “Their spirits remain very much alive in these spaces.”

Free and open to the public. Presented by the new Mexico Museum of Art.

This event will take place at the New Mexico Museum of Art | 107 W Palace Ave, Santa Fe, NM
