  • Sunday, November 12
  • 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM MT
  • 217 Johnson Street, Santa Fe, NM

In honor of our newest exhibition, 'Rooted in Place,' celebrate nature and community through a variety of activities!

What does it mean to grow roots? What does it mean to branch out? How do we appreciate the natural landscape around us in our day-to-day lives? In honor of our newest exhibition, Rooted in Place, Family Fun Day will be celebrating nature and community through a variety of hands-on artmaking, creative activities, and story time.

Family Fun Day is a free event for all who attend. Participating families will receive a pass for free admission into the Museum! Please visit us first in the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum lobby when you arrive to receive your day pass and schedule of activities for the day.

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is proud to introduce Family Fun Day! Occurring on the second Sunday of every month, this event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking and storytelling, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art. Family Fun Day is offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.

Large pinkish/orange shell that dominates most of the canvas, with a much smaller shell beside it on the lower left. Both are oval in shape and open to their undersides, exposing the dark glossy pink of the inside of a shell. They are nestled on a white cloth or tissue paper that has folds suggesting a depth, as if the objects are in a box. The larger shell is chipped on it's upper left tip.
