Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Announces Public Listening Sessions for New Museum Campus

August 21, 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — August 12, 2021 (Santa Fe, NM) — The Georgia O’Keeffe
Museum has announced five public listening sessions for the Santa Fe community to learn more
about the Museum’s plans to build a new museum campus. The project – including a new building and almost an acre of community green space at 123 Grant Avenue in Santa Fe – is currently in the design and approvals phase and is set to open its doors in late 2024.

“We are centering New Mexico–the people and cultures, rich history, and landscape–in how we
present our stories and rededicating ourselves to serving the needs of local audiences,” Museum Director Cody Hartley said. “These sessions will provide us with valuable feedback as this project takes shape. We welcome all to provide their input on the design, development, and future programming of The New O’Keeffe.”

All listening sessions will include a 30-minute presentation from members of the O’Keeffe
leadership team followed by open dialogue with participants. In-person sessions are scheduled to be held in each of the four districts of the City of Santa Fe and one session will be held virtually. Masks will be required for attendees at all in-person meetings. Registration is required for the virtual session.
