We are excited to announce an open call for a teaching artist to join our collaborative mural project, part of the O’Keeffe Art and Leadership Program in partnership with the Art to G.O. initiative. This project will bring together a Santa Fe-based mural artist and Art & Leadership middle school students to create a collaborative indoor mural celebrating nature, regenerative practices, and revitalization, while also engaging with local grassroots organizations focused on climate change awareness in celebration of O’Keeffe’s love of the natural world.

    • Dates: June 9 – July 25, 2025 (The week of June 30 – July 4 is a holiday week, and there will be no classes.)
    • Sessions: Three sessions, each lasting two weeks
    • Dimensions: Indoor mural project featuring two wooden posts (approx. 7 feet high), one large post (approx. 8 ft high x 20 ft wide), and at least one door to be painted on
    • Participants: Approximately 15-20 students per session
    • Color Scheme: Earth and Water
    • There are a total of 3 sessions, each running for 2 weeks.

    • Compensation: $3,000 + GRT total for the mural project, paid directly to the artist.
    • All materials for the project will be supplied by the museum.
