Georgia O’Keeffe and Ghost Ranch

April 7, 2017

Georgia O'Keeffe Museum

It’s not a stretch to say that visiting New Mexico changed Georgia O’Keeffe forever. After her initial visit to Taos in 1929, she subsequently spent most summers at Ghost Ranch until she moved permanently to New Mexico in 1949. Karen Butts, Tours Manager at Ghost Ranch, and host Mara Harris of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum will talk about the history and landscape of Ghost Ranch and how Georgia O’Keeffe found inspiration there. The will also discuss the book, Georgia O’Keeffe and New Mexico: A Sense of Place, used as a guide by Ghost Ranch for their popular Georgia O’Keeffe landscape tours, available at the Museum Store and at Ghost Ranch.
