Family Day: Above the Clouds

  • Sunday, October 12
  • 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM MT
  • 217 JOHNSON STREET, SANTA FE, NM

Enjoy free admission all day for New Mexico residents! Come explore the wonder of the sky above.

A writer is a constant observer. In many letters to her friends, Georgia O’Keeffe often wrote about the expansive, blue sky. Through a variety of hands-on artmaking, creative activities, and story time, celebrate Balloon Fiesta with us by looking upwards at the vastness of the sky and its beauty, as O’Keeffe often did.

10:30 AM–2:30 PM | Hot Air Balloon Mobiles with the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum

11 AM–1 PM | Creative Activities with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum

Due to the high volume of visitors during the month of October, there will be no story time inside the galleries this month. Story time will resume as normal in November!

Planning to stop by for Family Day? RSVP ahead of time! While registration is not mandatory to attend, registering ahead of time helps us prepare. Thank you for helping us out!

Museum admission is free all day for New Mexico residents and Family Day Participants.

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is proud to offer Family Day! Occurring on the second Sunday of every month, this event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking, storytelling, and creative activities, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art! Family Day is a free event offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.
