Family Day: Lines, Circles, and Shapes, Oh My!

  • Sunday, July 13
  • 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM MT
  • 217 JOHNSON STREET, SANTA FE, NM

What do different colors and shapes mean to you?

Our newest special exhibition, A Circle that Nothing Can Break, explores how Georgia O’Keeffe imbued shapes—the circle in particular—with emotional symbolism and abstract ideas. For example, what do different colors mean to you? If you were to describe a friend using only colors and shapes, what colors and shapes would you use? Join us to explore the connection between shapes and emotion through a variety of hands-on artmaking, storytime, and creative activities.

Planning to stop by for Family Day? RSVP ahead of time! While registration is not mandatory to attend, registering ahead of time helps us prepare. Thank you for helping us out!

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is proud to offer Family Day! Occurring on the second Sunday of every month, this event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking, storytelling, and creative activities, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art! Family Day is a free event offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.

Museum admission is free all day for New Mexico residents and Family Day Participants.
