Join artist Devon Burke for an introduction to visual journaling, an expressive visual art process that involves the exploration and application of mixed media to the pages of a notebook or sketchbook. Your visual journal could be a collection of mixed media pages with free-form expression, or a deep dive into connecting the arts with your innermost feelings and reflections of the world. This course will show the introductory process of gathering materials, making pages, and simple exercises for the beginning steps in creating an artistic journal. This is a mixed media course and participants should be prepared to use a variety of watercolor and acrylic paints as well as collaged and collected items.

This class is suitable for youth ages 12 and up. Children are welcome to participate alongside their adults.

Space is limited, reservations required.

This program will take place via the video conferencing app – ZOOM. Details for accessing the Zoom meeting will be with your receipt upon registering and again sent via email the day prior. Please register in advance in order to access the program. Note that all program times are in Mountain Time.
