Georgia O’Keeffe carefully decorated her home and studio, blending art and design in a way that turned her space into an artist’s sanctuary.

Inspired by the thought of bringing special objects into our homes, spend a relaxing Friday evening making your own ceramic candle lantern. In this workshop, participants will learn from teaching artist Amber Paz-Csibi how to do a variety of techniques including hand-building, underglazing, and sgraffito. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created and decorated their own candle lantern, which will be ready to pick up in two weeks after it has been dried and fired by Amber.

NOTE: The candle lanterns created in this class will need to dry and undergo firing by Amber after the workshop. They will be ready for pick-up at the Museum after two weeks.

This class is suitable for youth ages 12 and up. Children are welcome to participate alongside their adults. Note that all program times are in Mountain Time.

Space is limited, reservations required. Please email contact@gokm.org or call 505.946.1000 for assistance with event registration.

This class will meet in front of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum , 217 Johnson Street, Santa Fe, NM. Registrants will be notified 24 hours in advance if the lesson is to be canceled.
