Family Fun Day: Picture Perfect!

  • Sunday, July 9
  • 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM MT
  • Santa Fe, NM

Join us to explore the art of photography through a variety of hands-on artmaking, creative activities, and story time in the garden!

We’ve all heard the phrase, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Well, did you also know that to take a picture is to create a memory? Through taking photographs, we are able to share with others how we see the world. Georgia O’Keeffe’s own art practice was influenced greatly by the famous photographers of her time! At the time, photography was just beginning to blossom as the creative art form we know it as today. Join us to explore the art of photography through a variety of hands-on artmaking, creative activities, and story time in the garden!

Family Fun Day is a free event for all who attend. Participating families will receive a pass for free admission into the Museum! Please visit us first in the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Education Annex (located at 123 Grant Ave) when you arrive to receive your day pass, campus map, and schedule of activities for the day.

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is proud to introduce Family Fun Day! Occurring on the second Sunday of every month, this event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking and storytelling, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art. Family Fun Day is offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.
