Family Fun Day: Kitchen Creations!

  • Sunday, March 12
  • 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM MT
  • Santa Fe, NM

This event is free to the public. Free Museum Admission for all who attend! Join us to explore creativity inside the kitchen! Families can discover together how fun it can be to cook and create.

The art of creation exists not only in front of a canvas, but also inside of the kitchen! Around the world, cooking is considered an art form. Vegetables, herbs, spices, proteins – they can all come together to form a delicious meal that captures all five senses. Georgia O’Keeffe knew the power of a great meal. She loved to cook, and would constantly create new recipes out of existing ones – even adding in vegetables and herbs from her own garden! On this day, join us to explore creating inside the kitchen. Through hands-on artmaking, creative activities, and story-time inside the galleries, families can discover together how fun it can be to cook and create. Families can also enjoy a peek into O’Keeffe’s own kitchen and recipe books with free admission into our newest exhibition, Georgia O’Keeffe: Making A Life.

This event is free to the public. Free Museum Admission for all who attend!

Family Fun Day will be held across the entire Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Campus. Please visit us first in the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Education Annex (located at 123 Grant Ave) when you arrive to receive your day pass, campus map, and schedule of activities for the day.

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is proud to introduce Family Fun Day: occurring on the second Sunday of every month, this event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking and storytelling, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art. Family Fun Day is offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.
