Family Fun Day: Georgia O’Keeffe Birthday Celebration!

Family Fun Day events are free to all families! Participating families will also receive free entry to the museum after checking in at the Education Annex

Happy birthday, Georgia O’Keeffe! Join us to celebrate Georgia O’Keeffe’s 135th birthday with a day of fun activities well suited for the whole family. This free event will feature activities such as hands-on artmaking with special guests from the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and an in-gallery treasure hunt (with prizes)! Throughout the day, family-friendly story time will be hosted in our Research Center Garden, led by the Santa Fe Public Library Main Branch, with complimentary warm blankets, cookies, and hot cocoa for all who attend.

Family Fun Day will be held across the entire Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Campus. Please visit us first in the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Education Annex (located at 123 Grant Ave) when you arrive to receive your day pass, campus map, and schedule of activities for the day.

HANDS-ON ARTMAKING with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum: 10AM – 1PM (Education Annex)

STORY TIME IN THE GARDEN with Santa Fe Public Libraries: 1PM – 3PM (Research Center Garden)

GALLERY TREASURE HUNT (with prizes!): 10AM – 3PM (Museum Galleries)

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is proud to introduce Family Fun Day: occurring on the second Sunday of every month, this event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking and storytelling, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art. Family Fun Day is offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.
