A Celebration of ‘A Circle that Nothing Can Break’

  • Friday, November 15
  • 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM MT
  • 217 JOHNSON ST, SANTA FE, NM

Celebrate and learn more about the Museum's newest exhibition, 'A Circle that Nothing Can Break.'

Following the all-day party at the Museum in honor of Georgia O’Keeffe’s birthday, join us for a members-only evening celebrating the new exhibition, A Circle that Nothing Can Break. Hear from our curators how O’Keeffe imbued shapes—the circle in particular—with emotional symbolism and abstract ideas, and then raise a glass to the artist on her special day.

This event is for all members ($55+) and will be held at the Santa Fe Museum Galleries.

From left to right: A person standing in front of a few photographs of O'Keeffe on a white gallery wall, a painting of a wave and dot in red, a photo of some round deserts on a plate.

Large pinkish/orange shell that dominates most of the canvas, with a much smaller shell beside it on the lower left. Both are oval in shape and open to their undersides, exposing the dark glossy pink of the inside of a shell. They are nestled on a white cloth or tissue paper that has folds suggesting a depth, as if the objects are in a box. The larger shell is chipped on it's upper left tip.
