  • Thursday, March 27
  • 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM MT
  • MAIN LIBRARY | 145 WASHINGTON AVE, SANTA FE, NM, 87501

Create your own characters using your imagination!

Have you ever looked at a cloud and seen something magical? Perhaps it looked like a whale, or an elephant, or even your best friend! Join experienced teaching artist Christina Kortz in creating shapes and then bringing them to life.

Christina Kortz has been with the O’Keeffe Museum since the year 2000. She began as an Education Coordinator and Family Programs Manager, and now works as a Museum Educator and Gallery Guide. Christina is an experienced arts educator, illustrator, fashion stylist, and dancer.

Create with O’Keeffe is a free monthly drop-in program offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Public Libraries, occurring on the second, third, and fourth Thursday of every month at libraries around Santa Fe. Create with O’Keeffe aims to bring fun art activities to kids and families while helping them learn how to express themselves through visual art! The program is free to attend and does not require advanced registration.

A white rose stretches across the bottom half of the composition. Above the rose, a cluster of delicate, light purple sweet peas rises toward the top of the canvas, their petals dissolving into the pastel purple, white, and pale green background.
