Host Mara Harris of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum discusses the Maria Chabot archives with Museum Archivist, Laura Ward. Maria Chabot was an important figure in northern New Mexico who knew many of the cultural luminaries of Santa Fe and Taos starting in the 1930s, and who worked with Mary Cabot Wheelwright on Los Luceros and Georgia O’Keeffe on her Abiquiu Home and Studio. Ward recently finished organizing and archiving the collection of Chabot papers, which are housed at the Museum’s Research Center.
