Online Class: Autumnal Trees in Watercolor

  • Wednesday, October 8
  • 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM MT
  • Online

Registration required. Space is limited. Please email contact@gokm.org or call 505-946-1000 for assistance with registration.

Inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s autumn-themed paintings, this class will focus on capturing the colors and textures of beautiful fall trees in transparent watercolor.

Through interactive demos and instructions, teaching artist Sudeshna Sengupta will guide you through the concepts and techniques needed to capture the overall shapes of various autumn trees with watercolor. This class will learn about appropriate brushwork, paint mixing, and color application, as well as using tonal blending and expressive texturing.

Reference photos will be provided in advance for the in-class project, but participants are welcome to use their own photos or printouts of trees during the lesson.

This class is suitable for youth ages 12 and up. Children are welcome to participate alongside their adults.

This program will take place via the video conferencing app – ZOOM. Details for accessing the Zoom meeting will be with your receipt upon registration and again sent via email the day prior. Please register in advance to access the program.

Note that all program times are in Mountain Time. Space is limited, reservations required.

In addition to your own reference photos, you may follow Sudeshna’s on-screen set-up which will be used during her demonstration.
