In-Person Class: Fall Leaves Plate & Bowl Workshop

  • Saturday, October 18
  • 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM MT
  • O'KEEFFE MUSEUM CREATIVITY STUDIO | CORNER OF W MARCY ST AND SHERIDAN ST, SANTA FE, NM

Registration required. Space is limited. Please email contact@gokm.org or call 505-946-1000 for assistance with registration.

Georgia O’Keeffe carefully decorated her home and studio, blending art and design in a way that turned her space into an artist’s sanctuary.

Inspired by the thought of bringing special objects into our homes, enjoy a cozy morning creating fall-inspired ceramic bowls or plates.

In this workshop, participants will learn about hand-building techniques, blending warm underglaze colors, and pressing real autumn leaves into clay to create their own leaf-shaped bowls or plates. By the end of this class, each participant will have created and decorated up to four autumn-inspired pieces, which will be ready to pick up in up to four weeks once they’ve been dried and fired by Amber.

NOTE: The work created in this class will need to dry and undergo firing by Amber after the workshop. They will be ready for pick-up at the Museum in up to four weeks. Shipping finished pieces is also an option for out-of-town participants.

This class is suitable for youth ages 12 and up. Children are welcome to participate alongside their adults.

Space is limited, reservations required. Please email contact@gokm.org or call 505.946.1000 for assistance with event registration.

This class will meet at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum’s Creativity Studio located on the corner of West Marcy Street and Sheridan Street (Santa Fe, NM). Registrants will be notified 24 hours in advance if the lesson is to be canceled.
