Georgia O’Keeffe was connected to a community of avant-garde artists, authors, and critics committed to expressing and promoting a uniquely American identity in the early twentieth century. In its new exhibition Modernist Circle, the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Library & Archive explores the circle of influential modern artists and writers to which O’Keeffe belonged by featuring rarely seen artworks from the collection, inscribed books, and other materials from the archive.

Hear from Elizabeth Ehrnst , Head of Research Collections and Services at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and curator of the Modernist Circle exhibition, to learn more about this project and the interpersonal connections it visualizes through archived material. The program will then transition into a discussion about the value of research libraries and how archived materials can be accessed to support diverse research projects.

This talk is free to attend. Please register in advance. For assistance with event registration, email contact@gokm.org or call 505-496-1000. Can’t make the talk? This program will be recorded and posted on our website and YouTube Channel.
