Discussion with Josephine Halvorson, Artist-in-Residence
In 2019 the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum hosted our first Artist-in-Residence, Josephine Halvorson. Halvorson spent time at O’Keeffe’s homes at Ghost Ranch and in Abiquiu, New Mexico, and created a body of work responding to the landscape and the domesticity of O’Keeffe’s homes. This recording is of Halvorson, in conversation with Ariel Plotek, Curator of Fine Art, discussing Halvorson’s creative journey in New Mexico and a look at this recent work. The exhibition, Contemporary Voices: Josephine Halvorson, opened at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico October 1, 2021.
This program was presented on September 30, 2021.
