Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Art and Leadership Program 2020

Georgia O'Keeffe Museum

This summer, the Education Team at The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum offered an Art and Leadership Program that looked a little bit different than in previous years, due to the constraints of the coronavirus pandemic. Through this summer’s revised remote program, participants engaged with hands-on art activities and moments of self-reflection; they had access to daily art challenges, art kits, optional online professional artist studio tours; and also had opportunities to engage with local teaching artists in a virtual setting. The 2-week program included activities that promote self-awareness and identity development, built especially for aspiring young artists and leaders. As in past years, the program was open only for students who were returnees to the program, or who had been nominated by their teachers this past school year.
