Learn and practice working through this expressive and painterly approach to printmaking as inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s work, the natural world, and abstraction. Join us as we explore water and oil-based media, basic press use, and paper handling. The class will begin with an exclusive tour of the museum for inspiration from Georgia O’Keeffe’s original works, and then participants will head to the classroom to get hands on with this medium. Every student will leave with at least one finished hand-made print they have created during out time together.

Large pinkish/orange shell that dominates most of the canvas, with a much smaller shell beside it on the lower left. Both are oval in shape and open to their undersides, exposing the dark glossy pink of the inside of a shell. They are nestled on a white cloth or tissue paper that has folds suggesting a depth, as if the objects are in a box. The larger shell is chipped on it's upper left tip.
