Submit a Request for Research Support and Technical Examination.

For Georgia O’Keeffe artworks with documented provenance, the Museum reviews and considers requests for research support and for a formal technical examination. Formal examinations by the Museum entail multi-spectral and 3D imaging, analytical characterization of secondary supports, canvas, priming payers, paints, and amendments, as well as aging characteristics. These tests are conducted at the Museum at the owner’s expense.

To submit a request for consideration you will need to provide:

  • Your name, contact information, and relationship to the owner of the artwork
  • Title of the artwork
  • High-resolution images of the front and back
  • Provenance

O’Keeffe Museum staff will reply if the request meets our requirements for research support. Submit a request for authentication and appraisal research support.
