Description
“Oh—my garden would surprise you and I think you would like it very much—it has an adobe wall around it.” – Georgia O’Keeffe, 1948
An exclusive collaboration with renowned Santa Fe photographer, Ja Soon Kim, Snapshots from O’Keeffe’s Garden, captures the bounty and the beauty of O’Keeffe’s garden throughout the seasons. Each branch, leaf, petal and stem has been hand-collected and meticulously arranged into a composition, celebrating the timelessness of the changing seasons and an artist’s dedication to cultivating the land.
Fall Branches/Black captures the stark beauty of letting go that each fall brings. Print measures 11” x 14”.
The Garden
One of the main reasons Georgia O’Keeffe purchased her home in Abiquiú was for its gardening potential. In addition to its aesthetic benefits, the garden was the source for much of the food O’Keeffe ate. Today, over thirty years after O’Keeffe’s death, her Abiquiú garden still thrives. To honor O’Keeffe’s love of and dedication to her garden, it has become an educational site and a produce source for local food banks.
