Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Photography Competition
In Celebration of Georgia O’Keeffe’s 125th Birthday

“When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it's your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not.”  - Georgia O'Keeffe

Competition Theme: Flowers

COMPETITION DESCRIPTION

The art of Georgia O’Keeffe has been well known for eight decades in this country and for many years has been attaining similar prominence abroad.  She painted flowers, skyscrapers, and landscapes (among others) for the world to see.  Georgia O’Keeffe’s work revolutionized Modern Art in her time through present day.  Georgia O’Keeffe was famous for her interpretation of flowers.  Some realistic, some abstract...but always beautiful.  In her spirit, please share with us photographs of your favorite flowers — those pictures that capture your heart and capture the beauty and magnificence that is nature.
