Application Deadline March 1 Internship Information and Job Overview The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum is proud to announce PAID summer intern positions in Santa Fe, NM for Kappa Delta College students. This gender based program offers an exciting opportunity to work in a creative, energetic and fun environment. Two Kappa Delta’s will be contracted to work in the program. These positions are supported through a partnership between the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and The Kappa Delta Foundation. The O'Keeffe Art and Leadership Program for Girls, founded in 1998, provides adolescent girls, 11-13 years, with opportunities for independent thinking, skill-building, problem solving and the development of their artistic talents. Areas of concentration include topics on identity, creativity and self-esteem. This interactive program seeks to create a support system for girls, utilizing art-making and women artist role models, particularly Georgia O'Keeffe, to promote girls' creative abilities. Program Dates First week of June to mid-August with an average of 40 hrs per week. Requirements Interest and desire to spend a challenging summer in an energetic environment with a staff dedicated to fostering creativity and resiliency in youth. Candidates should have experience with age group and interest in the arts and leadership skills. Candidates must be responsible and reliable with a flexible work attitude, an ability to "think on your feet" in assisting the Program Coordinator, and enjoy working as a team.
