Family Programs

Join the Museum’s education staff and guest artists in a hands-on learning experience. This monthly program explores ideas and themes found in current exhibitions.

Children ages 4-12 and their adult companions can explore pertinent themes in art by looking at works on exhibit in the galleries and participating in multi-disciplinary, hands-on art activities.

The activities promote critical thinking skills and creative, interdisciplinary art making. The two hour, Saturday morning sessions are a fun family outing.

Monochromatic Art
September 25, 2010 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

What’s your favorite color? Have you ever created art using only different shades of the same color? This is monochromatic art: painting or drawing with only one color. In this program, we will draw and paint with this basic principle in mind.
