2007 Year of O'Keeffe

In recognition of the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum's contributions to the artistic and economic life of its community, the State of New Mexico and the City of Santa Fe Council passed resolutions declaring 2007 "The Year of O'Keeffe."

  • Since 1998, 80,000 people have been served through the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum's education and public programs
  • Opened a Research Center in 2001 that is the only one in the world focusing on American Modernism, and gives 6 scholarships each year to scholars from the nation's most prestigious universities, and makes its unique archives accessible to researchers worldwide.
  • The Museum's Art and Leadership Program for Girls and Boys has been nationally recognized, and allows middle-school children from all ethnic groups and income levels to exchange outlooks and find support for their interest in art.
